Senior devops

Position Overview
As a Senior Devops part of the engineering team, you ​will be responsible for automation and improving the CI/CD on our Kubernetes platform.

Key responsibilities
Design, scale and heal our Google Cloud Platform with Infrastructure as Code in mind
Optimize the continuous integration and deployment tools
Improve logging, monitoring and alerting
Contribute to platform architecture and technical designs
Propose new approaches and tools to improve development velocity and quality
Interact with development teams in an Agile environment

Required experience/skills
Minimum 3 years of professional devops and continuous integration/deployment
Proficient knowledge on containers and Kubernetes
Strong scripting skills on Bash

The Opportunity

Nexway is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Paris team of passionate and talented developers, who is passionate about designing and developing a new data architecture.
You’ll join at an ideal time to make a big impact, the product is seeing very high growth, with many new features to build as well as a need for scaling up dramatically. You’ll be involved in every step of the process—collaborating to product, developers and others key business units on the company. It’s a very exciting time to join our data team!
The data engineer needs to guarantee compliance with data governance and data security requirements while creating, improving and operationalizing these integrated and reusable data pipelines. This would enable faster data access, integrated data reuse and vastly improved time-to-solution for Nexway data and analytics initiatives. The data engineer will be measured on their ability to integrate analytics results with Nexway business processes.

You Will / Responsibilities

Design and build efficient and reliable data pipelines, ingest, and transform data sets using Talend & SQL
Improve, automate, and optimize actual models
Build and embed integrations flows
Collaborate across both business and IT
Work with team in defining the problems, designing the proper solutions, developing, and delivering end to end operational solutions in line with the overarching technology strategy, principles, architecture, and business requirements
Conduct regular data clinics to walk through new as well as enhanced data solutions with the data team
Ability to identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
Supporting the Data Analysts and Data Scientists with automation, tooling, data pipelines and data engineering expertise
Delivering highly reliable software and data pipelines using best practices like automation, version control, continuous integration/continuous delivery, testing, security, etc.
Define, implement, and enforce automated data security and data governance best practices within the solutions designed
Provide regular progress updates on data initiatives to the team and CTO


2+ years of data engineering experience in the industry working in data architecture, data modeling, master data management, metadata management
Experience building data pipelines and data marts utilizing ETL tools (i.e. Talend, Pentaho, SSIS) and SQL in a data warehouse environment
Strong experience in developing, constructing, testing, and maintaining existing and new architectures.
Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB, MySQL, MariaDB, etc.
Experienced with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, etc.
Experience on defining and reviewing data mapping, transformation logic and translate to technical solutions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work with incomplete or imperfect data
Communication & Interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience
Good level of English (>= B2, written & spoken)

Practical understanding of GDPR and other considerations regarding data security and data compliance regulations
