FNAC selects Nexway to develop and manage a custom API to increase their recurrent billing and improve customer experience through software bundle subscription renewals.
Nexway™, a premium e-commerce platform and digital marketing expert, has announced that it has reached an agreement with FNAC to develop and manage the FNAC Starter Pack for both FNAC’s online store and brick and mortar operations in France. FNAC, one of France’s main retailers of entertainment and consumer products and consumer electronics, has operations in nine countries. FNAC.com, FNAC’s online store, has approximately 10 million unique visitors per month and is France’s third-most visited e-commerce site.
For FNAC customers purchasing a PC or laptop, the optional Pack offers a software bundle that includes one-year subscriptions to both Microsoft Office 365 and Bitdefender Internet Security software. Nexway has developed a tailor-made Application Programming Interface (API), included in the Pack, which allows customers to renew their software subscriptions from within the FNAC on-desktop ecosystem.

Directly following the purchase of the consumer electronic, the API is added to the desktop dashboard through an easy-to-follow installation process. It allows the customer to manage orders, subscriptions, add-on products and payment methods. Renewal notifications can be diffused either within the product or through e-mail, with payment taking place within the FNAC ecosystem.
The API, operated by Nexway, allows for the collection of information and customer data, enabling FNAC to optimize subscription renewals.
